What this policy covers
This privacy policy explains what data DockScore collects, how we use it, and what choices you have. It applies to dockscore.io (this marketing site) and the DockScore platform that powers tournament management for our customers.
If you have a question this policy doesn't answer, write to privacy@dockscore.io.
Information we collect
From you, directly
- Form submissions. When you fill out a contact, demo, or sandbox-request form, we collect the fields you provide: name, email, tournament name, location, expected boats, event dates, and any notes.
- Account data. If you sign up for the DockScore platform, we collect your name, email, and the credentials needed to log in.
- Tournament data. When you run a tournament on DockScore, we store the boats, anglers, catches, and results you record. This data belongs to you.
Automatically
- Analytics. We use Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not track individuals across sites. We see aggregated page-view counts, referrers, and approximate countries.
- Marketing attribution. If you arrive on the site through a link with UTM parameters, we record those parameters with your form submission so we know which channel sent you.
- Server logs. Cloudflare, our hosting provider, retains short-lived access logs (IP, user-agent, request path) for security and abuse prevention.
How we use it
- To respond. Form submissions are used to follow up with you about your tournament.
- To deliver the service. Account and tournament data are used to operate the platform you signed up for.
- To improve. Aggregate analytics help us understand which pages help directors and which don't.
We do not sell your data. We do not share form submissions with third parties for their marketing.
Tournament data ownership
If you are a tournament director using DockScore, the data you record about your tournament — boats, anglers, catches, results — is your data. You can export it at any time. If you cancel your account, we'll provide a full export and then delete the data within 90 days.
Third parties we use
- Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, security, and CDN.
- Plausible — privacy-friendly analytics.
- Stripe — payment processing for paid tiers (we never see your full card number).
- Resend — transactional email (signup confirmation, alerts).
- Meta (Facebook, Instagram) — only if you opt in to the Auto Story Publisher feature and connect your account.
Data retention
Form submissions are retained for as long as we have an active conversation with you, plus a reasonable archival period (typically 36 months). Tournament data is retained for as long as your account is active. Cloudflare logs are retained for the period set by Cloudflare's standard policy.
Your rights
You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by writing to privacy@dockscore.io. We will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We do not use tracking cookies on dockscore.io. The DockScore platform (app.dockscore.io) uses a session cookie to keep you logged in.
Children
DockScore is built for adult tournament directors. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
